Soil washing and remediation plant

Soil washing, also named as soil leaching,  is an ex-situ remediation technique that removes hazardous contaminants from soil. It can significantly reduces the volume of contaminated soil at site.

Desen has developed the advanced compact modular soil washing and remediation plant suitable for physical and chemical washing and remediation of contaminated soils and industrial sites such as chemical, pharmaceutical, metallurgical, petrochemical, and mining areas. It realizes the efficient treatment for hexavalent chromium, lead, cadmium, zinc, arsenic, and other heavy (non-)metals (excluding Hg), semi-VOCS, PCBs, PHCs, and other single or combined contaminated soils.

Technical Principles

Desen’s modular washing and remediation solution is to promote the dissolution and migration of contaminants in the soil through a series of physical and chemical comprehensive treatment processes.

The Process Flow

Feeding stage:

After prescreening, the contaminated soil is fed to screw feeder for mixing with water ( and chemical agent if necessary)

Scrubbing stage:

The mixed water and soil slurry will enter into the cylinder scrubbing machine for thorough separating and cleaning by self-grinding and scrubbing functions of the scrubber.

Immersion classifying stage:

During this stage, the particles bigger than 2mm will be separated out and the undersized particles will be pumped to the high-efficient multistage classifying module for treatment The immersion classifying module can achieve the efficient grading of 0.15-2mm fine sand materials to minimize the solid content in the slurry.

Filter pressing stage:

The slurry is flocculated and sedimented in the sendimentation tank. The cleaned water overflows to water treatment system for recycling and the concentrated slurry will be dewatered and pressed to mud cake for backfill ( if qualified) or for further treatment( if not qualified).
