Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are ubiquitous persistent organic pollutants in soil and groundwater. Among them, naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon with a simple structure. It has the characteristics of strong mobility and can be enriched in soil and groundwater through various ways. It is one of the key pollutants in historical sites such as coking and chemical industries. Advanced oxidation technology is efficient, safe and economical. Therefore, naphthalene-contaminated soil remediation technology based on advanced oxidation has received increasing attention.

Ideas for remediation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon contaminated soil in coking plants

With the acceleration of the implementation of the "retreat from secondary to advanced tertiary" and "industrial transfer" policies in the process of urbanization in my country, a large number of heavily polluting industries have been closed and relocated, resulting in a large number of legacy polluted plots in and around the city. As one of the eight key regulatory industries in my country's "Ten Soil Regulations", coking is widespread in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding areas. The site and surrounding soil and groundwater are seriously polluted, which has seriously endangered public health and ecological safety. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are one of the most typical pollutants in the production process of coking plants. The leakage of wastewater pools and other facilities during the production process of enterprises is the main cause of PAHs pollution in soil and groundwater. Naphthalene has a high detection rate and content in PAHs contaminated sites in my country. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a safe, efficient and economical coking plant organic contaminated soil remediation equipment to remove naphthalene from soil and groundwater.

At present, there are two main research ideas for the advanced oxidation removal of naphthalene in soil and groundwater: one is to increase the concentration of naphthalene in the water phase, and use chemical or physical means to promote the dissolution of naphthalene combined with the soil and simultaneously remove naphthalene through oxidation. Commonly used chemical means include using surfactants, small molecule acids or directly using oxidants to increase the dissolution of naphthalene. Physical means include using ultrasound and heating to promote the dissolution of naphthalene and accelerate its decomposition. The second is to improve the oxidation performance of the oxidant and improve the utilization efficiency of the activator/oxidant system, including using nanoscale zero-valent iron, iron chelators and iron minerals as activators to promote the oxidative removal of naphthalene.

The organic contaminated soil remediation equipment of Desen Coking Plant mainly uses chemical/biological solvents that can promote the dissolution or migration of pollutants in the soil, and cleans and remediates the contaminated soil through a series of physical and chemical comprehensive treatment processes. The heavy metals on the particle surface are transferred from the solid phase low-concentration pollutants to the liquid phase for subsequent centralized treatment. The sand and gravel aggregates in the soil can be recycled after being leached and graded. After dehydration, the slurry solids can be safely backfilled or entered into the thermal desorption repair system for further processing. After dehydration, the waste liquid enters the water treatment system. Centralized processing. The entire washing and restoration system can achieve comprehensive reduction and treatment of contaminated soil to a great extent.

At present, Desen's laundering equipment has been iteratively updated to the tenth generation. The successful launch of Desen's laundering truck is a milestone. It not only enriches the company's product series, expands its market business scope, but also lays the foundation for the company's next step in technology research and development. The foundation points out the next step of technology research and development direction.
