River dredging is a key measure to improve aquatic ecosystems. However, the mixed sludge produced by dredging has uneven sand content. If directly landfilled, it not only wastes valuable sand resources but also occupies a large amount of land, creating a new environmental burden. Against this backdrop, the Desen Environmental Screening plant, with its efficient mud-sand separation capability, has become a "key assistant" in river dredging projects, providing a high-quality solution for the "reduction and resource utilization" of sludge.

Desen Environmental Screening plant: The 'Mud-Sand Separation Expert' for River Dredging

Targeting the core characteristics of river sludge—high water content and complex composition—the Desen Environmental Screening plant adopts a customized anti-clogging screening design. During operation, the equipment operates synergistically through screw conveying and vibrating screening, which can quickly and accurately separate sand and gravel from soft mud in the sludge. The separated clean sand and gravel have uniform particles and few impurities, and can be directly used in scenarios such as roadbed construction and river landscape landscaping. The volume of the concentrated soft mud is significantly reduced; after subsequent dehydration treatment, its landfill volume is reduced by more than 60%, which significantly lowers the disposal cost. At the same time, the sealed system equipped with the equipment can effectively prevent dust diffusion and sewage leakage during operation, eliminating secondary pollution from the source.

In a river governance project in a southern city, the Desen Environmental Screening plant demonstrated strong capabilities. It operated continuously for 20 days, efficiently treating more than 20,000 cubic meters of dredged mixed sludge, with a sand and gravel recovery rate as high as 80%. The produced sand and gravel were directly supplied to the sidewalk paving project on both banks of the river. This equipment not only successfully solved the sludge disposal problem but also saved the project’s building material procurement costs, truly achieving dual improvements in ecological benefits and resource benefits.
