The clean sand (with less than 5% impurities) is used for riverbank landscaping or construction, while the concentrated mud is dehydrated for safe landfill. In a Hangzhou West Lake dredging project, the plant processed 3,200 cubic meters of sludge in 18 days, recovering 80% of the sand and reducing landfill volume by 60%.
