Why Soil Washing Is the First Choice for Contaminated Sites
Soil washing is a physical-chemical remediation technology that separates contaminated fines from clean coarse fractions, reducing the volume of soil that must be treated or disposed of. For contractors and site owners, a reliable soil washing plant delivers faster timelines, lower costs and measurable results on heavy metal, hydrocarbon and industrial contamination.
Zhengzhou Desen Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. has delivered more than 1,000 soil remediation projects and exported equipment to over 100 countries. Its mobile soil remediation equipment and modular washing systems have been field-proven on sites ranging from steel plants to oil fields.

Core Modules of a Mobile Soil Washing Plant
1. Pre-Screening and Scrubbing
Feed material passes through pre-screening to remove oversized particles, then enters a rotary drum scrubber where high-elasticity liners intensify inter-particle friction. Clay agglomerates and sand are separated thoroughly, exposing contaminants to the washing solution.
2. Hydrocyclone Classification
Slurry is fed to hydrocyclones that split coarse and fine fractions. Clean coarse sand is dewatered by spiral classifiers and can be reused on site, while fines report to thickening and filtration stages.
3. Dewatering and Water Treatment
Thickened slurry is pressed into low-moisture filter cake for off-site disposal, and process water is recycled through inclined-plate settlers and reaction tanks, keeping water consumption low.
What Makes the System Modular
- Skid-mounted and mobile configurations handle 20-40 t/h as standard, with custom units from 8 t/h to more than 100 t/h.
- DCS distributed control with 5G IoT connectivity gives operators real-time visibility of every process stage.
- Hydraulic scissor-lift control cabins enable safe transport at low position and full-site monitoring when raised.
- Rapid mobilization: equipment reaches the site by truck, installs in days, and moves to the next site without rebuilding infrastructure.
Applications of Mobile Soil Remediation Equipment
- Heavy metal contaminated soil: lead, arsenic, mercury, nickel and chromium
- Oil contaminated soil and oil sludge treatment
- Ditch and dredged sludge washing and disposal
- Mineral and aggregate washing and classification
